Manchester city’s pursuit of Brazilian talisman Neymar, has hit a brick wall. The deal collapsed as both parties could not agree on a couple of important aspects of the deal.
Manchester City reportedly felt a salary of £500,000 a week is too much despite the player reduced his wages from what he was taking at PSG. Neymar is currently receiving $700,000 per week at PSG, yet the sky blues of Manchester are not willing to pay him £500,000 weekly wages.
There was no agreement on the side of who should be promoted as the face of the club. Manchester City reportedly proposed three (3) players as the face of the club. Kevin De Bruyne, Erling Haaland and Neymar. The camp of the Brazilian forward preferred only Neymar as the club’s sole face.
It was reported earlier that Neymar is looking to find a new club after rumors emerged that his striking partner Mbappe doesn’t want him at the club.
