The prominent NPP member has finally raised massive reactions across all social media platforms after he unexpectedly came out to express his immense disappointment in the incumbent government’s decision to go to the IMF aside from blaming the NDC for the failure of the implementation of the controversial E-levy.
Speaking in a circulating video, the NPP MP, Dr. Kingsley Nyarko took the privilege to also reveal the main reason why the Akufo Addo government didn’t have any choice but to seek financial support from the IMF after the NDC caused the failure of the implementation of the E-levy.
“I will tell you that, I am not in support of the President and Ghana going to the IMF, that was why I was pushing for the E-levy. I have always believed that Ghanaians should be able to chat about their trajectory in building a robust economy from within. The reason why the government didn’t want to opt for the IMF and because we felt that, we can do it from within. The best we put in the budget to implement, most of them didn’t see the light of day as a result of a deliberate attempt by the NDC to frustrate the business of government. Our colleagues on the other side were jubilating that Ghana is going to the IMF; I was sad”, Dr. Kingsley Nyarko emphatically revealed.
