The Political Science lecturer, Professor Ransford Gyampo, is asking for evidence from the president on his 30% reduction of the salaries of his appointees as Ghanaians were informed.
According to Prof, it is difficult for Ghanaians to believe the word of Nana Akufo-Addo of the 30% cut because we live with the ministers and their extravagant lifestyle have not changed even in this hardship times.
He therefore ask that the payslips of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) appointees be made available for evidence sake because our elders say, seeing is believing.
It can be recalled that, the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo told Ghanaians that we all have to make sacrifices as we are not in normal times.
He further informed Ghanaians that he has reduced his salary by 30% as well as that of his appointees.
However, Prof Gyampo says it what our eyes have seen that we testify about, like peter in the Bible said so until we see the payslips of the government appointees, it will be difficult to believe the president’s word.
