Sharing his sentiments about the usage of the platform to promote music, Naa Agyeman speaking in an interview on the United segment aired on UTV stated that TikTok is no doubt one of the best ways to get songs promoted, hence Ghanaians need to accept that fact.
He revealed that he once wanted to promote his project on the platform but he declined because of the fee the influencer wanted before engaging in the deal.
Naa Agyeman urged the TikTok community to make their fees moderate for musicians to be able to afford them when they are in need of their services for the promotion of their music.
In other news, Ghanaian Highlife crooner, Peter Fameyeh Bozah, widely known in the music industry as Fameye has asserted that his relevancy in the Ghanaian music industry does not depend on TikTok trends.
In an interview with the lifestyle and celebrity blogger, Zionfelix on the Uncut Show, the reigning songwriter of the year at the recent VGMAs said that TikTok never confirms that a song is good and needs to be rated at the top.
He revealed that his interest has always been to make good music and should the TikTok community decide to assist in the promotion, he has no issues with that but their claims of being the ones behind all the trended songs hold no substance.
He also added that he would never discriminate against musicians contracting TikTokers to promote their songs but that gives them no bragging right to make untrue assertions about their prowess in the music industry.
Fameye also mentioned that music is way bigger than TikTok and for him, he doesn’t need the platform to make his songs make waves.
