In Ghana today, our environment is being mismanaged. People are ignoring that, it is the environment that provides us with the essentials to survive on this earth. A lot of harmful practices are being done, which causes great harm to the environment.
Therefore, there is the need to practice these behaviours in other to preserve our environment.
Afforestation. To simply put it, the planting of more trees for vegetation. We all know trees contribute a lot in the production of oxygen for man, that is why we need to plant more trees to replenish the ones cut down for production purposes.
Stop bush fires. Farmers burn the weeds they gather up form weeding in their farms, which as a result could lead to a fire outbreak. To prevent bushfires, farmers could find more appropriate and safe ways to burn their rubbish instead of burning them in their farms.
Education. Not all people are educated and as a result, don’t know the importance of the environment to man. So in sharing knowledge with others, people will come to realize the need to protect our environment. And will help to ensure it’s safety.
Another thing is to stop illegal mining. This will prevent the destruction of the Earth’s surface, and maintain the soil’s fertility. Making it possible for farmers to be able to cultivate the land.
