A woman called Vida Denkyi from Sabronum in Kumasi got married to her husband named Papa Yaw and they were staying in his family house. She got money from her work and went to rent a room at Kronum and she moved to stay in the room together with her husband.
After she gave birth to their third child, she decided with her husband to travel to South Africa, they sold their container shop, went for a loan and used the money to make all her documents and she travelled to South Africa. Vida said she went through hardship in South Africa but she saved some money from her earnings, she bought a shop in South Africa and started working in it.
The woman said she used the rest of the money to buy a car for her husband to work with it in Ghana. The woman continued that she sent one her husband’s neice to stay with her. She stated that she felt sick two weeks after the young girl came to stay with her, whilst she was sleeping in her room, she found colony of ants under her bed, after she killed all those ants she got relieved from her sickness without taking any medication.
After this incident, she also found an owl in her shop during day time. Any money she keeps in the house got missing but she never suspects her husband’s neice. Vida said she sent another money to her husband to buy a land and build a house for both of her, she continuesly sent him money to build the house. Years later she informed her husband she wants to come to Ghana but Yaw told her not to come back to home.
But she came back to Ghana without informing him. Three days after she got home, her in-laws fought with her and accused her of sleeping with men at South Africa so they won’t allow her to continue with her marriage with Yaw. Vida said she found out that, her husband too is dating another woman.
She also found out that Yaw spent all the money she gave to him to build the house, he only bought the land but did not build the house. One of her husband’s friends took her to a pastor for help but her husband started accusing her of sleeping with her friend. The woman revealed that her husband has not been sleeping with her ever since she came to Ghana. Yaw told her that he divorced her for a long time ago meanwhile he has spent all the money she gave him.
