It Will Be Completed In The Next Two Years – Bawumia Drops Details About Government’s New Project

The Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia seems to be spending the month of June in the various towns and cities in the Northern region of Ghana.

The aim every government is to build several infrastructures for its citizens so that citizens will know that their taxes are really working for them.

In his recent post on social media, the vice president revealed that he has cut sod for the construction of a 167-kilometer highway. This highway will be done from the Tamale to Tatale in the Northern region of Ghana.

According to Dr. Bawumia, this project will include the provision of some socio-economic interventions such as schools, boreholes, clinics and other social amenities and it will be completed in the next two years.

“The $150m project will include the provision of socio-economic complementary interventions in the form of schools, boreholes, and clinics within the project communities (Tamale, Mion, Yendi, Zabzugu & Tatale), and has been broken into two lots; lot one being the 61.98km Tatale-Yendi road -61.98km and lot 2 the 106km Yendi-Tamale road. The project is scheduled to be completed in two years” he said.

Dr. Bawumia has cut sod and also commissioned several projects in the Northern reign following his recent visit to the region. With this development, Dr. Bawumia may have high chances of winning the presidential elections if he wins the primaries.
