Hearts of Oak mauled by Great Olympics at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Accra Hearts of Oak were given a deserved beating by their regional rivals Great Olympics in their matchday 33 fixture this afternoon. Olympics were rampant running over the Phobian midfield. Olympics opened the scoring through Amos Acheampong in the 20th minute. It was a blow to the phobians. Their woes were further deepened when the home side doubled their advantage in the 33rd minute through Razak Yusif.

This prompted Samuel Boadu to make 3 substitutions in the 39th minute of the first half taking off Caleb, Awako, Yorke, with their places taken by Patrick Razak, Asubonteng and James Sewornu.

Hearts of Oak resumed the second half with much more urgency but their efforts were thwarted by Stephen Kwaku in the Olympics goal. Patrick Razak tried to make something happen but was quickly stopped by the Olympics defence. Yusif had his brace after scoring his second of the day to pile more misery on Hearts. The phobians are now in danger of missing out on the top 4 completely. They are now 5th after today’s loss.
