Hearts has failed to beat Great Olympics in their last 3 games, can they win Sunday’s Accra derby?

Accra Hearts of Oak are on a patchy run of form at the moment in their games with city rivals Great Olympics and, they have a tough job on hand in looking to change that on Sunday.

The Phobians have failed to beat Great Olympics in their last three games all in the Ghana Premier League, GPL in the last couple of seasons.

On Sunday, the two sides will cross swords for the umpteenth time as they contest the latest version of the Accra derby in the capital.

This GPL Matchday 33 encounter will be played at the Accra Sports Stadium in a game that will be broadcast live on television.

Last season in the GPL, Great Olympics took four points off the Phobians in the two matches they played at the Accra Sports Stadium.

During the first round of that competition, the Wonder Club beat Hearts of Oak 2-0 in a game they dominated before playing out a 1-1 drawn game with the Phobians in the second round campaign.

This season, Great Olympics won the first round encounter in the capital 1-0 to continue with their dominance over the Phobians and, they will look to maintain that after Sunday’s game.

Coming into this weekend’s fixture, Hearts of Oak have not been on form, and, they will look to bounce back to winning ways having gone winless in their last three matches.

Great Olympics are themselves not on form at the moment, but, they can be trusted to rise their game against their city rivals.

Sunday, therefore, promises to be another showdown between these two sides as they seek to undo each other in a battle for the three points and the bragging rights it comes with.
