Honorable Kennedy Ohene Agyapong is a Ghanaian politician and the current (New Patriotic Party -NPP), Member of Parliament for Assin Central Constituency, in the Central Region of Ghana.
He won the Assin North Parliamentary seat in 2004, and retained it in the 2008 parliamentary election.
When the Assin Central Constituency was newly created, Honorable Kennedy Agyapong contested and won the seat in 2012. He was re-elected in 2016 and 2020.
On Monday, 16 May 2022, Honorable Kennedy Agyapong revealed his plans to contest the 2024 presidential elections, on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party-NPP.
The latest information gathered from the ‘Pulse TV’, have revealed that, Honorable Kennedy Agyapong’s presidential ambition, has been well received by many Ghanaians.
In an interview conducted on Pulse TV, some Ghanaians, who supports Honorable Kennedy Agyapong’s presidential bid, has described him as a man of visions. They also believe he is a man full of business ideas; and can transform the country in terms of businesses.
Also speaking on Pulse TV, some Ghanaians declared that, they supports Kennedy Agyapong presidential bid; because…even as a member of parliament, he has helped many people financially, and provided jobs for thousands of Ghanaian youth.
Some also said that, though they haven’t seen or met Kennedy Agyapong, they would be happy to vote for him as president; because they have heard of all the good works he as done, and still doing in his constituency…and also in other parts of the country.
Most of the speakers have also insisted that, Kennedy Agyapong has the capacity and the ability, to change the current state of the country’s bad economy; therefore they will not hesitate to vote for him as president when he contest the 2024 elections.
Among the total number of people who responded to Kennedy Agyapong’s presidential bid, only few rejected him. The majority have declared their support for him; with the explanations that, he is among the few MPs in Ghana, who have always been helpful the poor and needy in society.
Again; the 2024 Presidential bid for Honorable Kennedy Agyapong gained grounds, after he personally presented himself before some NPP sympathizers in the United States of America-USA.
According to a video by the ‘Announcer National Newspaper’, hundreds of Ghanaians gave Honorable Kennedy Agyapong a standing ovation as he addressed them in USA.
Honorable Agyapong attended Adisadel College in the Central Region. He also studied at the Fordham University in New York-USA.
He is a farmer and a businessman. He is also the director of Assin Farms, Supercare Group of Companies and Hollywood Shopping Centre.
The Assin Central Member of Parliament is married, with 22 children.
The fact is, Mr. Kennedy Agyapong is one of our Members of Parliament, who have never lost elections; and soon the ruling New Patriotic Party shall be going to the polls to elect a flagbearer.
