Former Black Stars Forward, Mohammed Ahmed Polo on Gold Talk Sport on Radio Gold believes it is the moment for an African side aims for clinch the envious world cup trophy.

Polo, reiterate that with the right planning and positive mindset, the Blck Stars can progress further from their 2010 feat chalked in South Africa. “We have to start planning, we have to start thinking positively. We have 5 slots now in the world and we should be thinking of coming closer to finals which is possible if we do things well and have to think about coming to the finals and win the World Cup. We came closer to the semifinals in 2010. We want to see African country winning the world cup. We should be able to develop a winning team that should be able to get there”, he stressed.

Polo, further touched on benching key Black Stars’ players prior to defeat to Central African Republic as a preparation stage for gathering players for the impending tourney. “The important thing is the team that we present in the world cup because is a preparatory grounds that we looking for. We don’t want to go there and disgrace ourselves. You cannot blame him. Because this is where Ghanaians will complain but as a human institution you’re not perfect and you will never be perfect. Once he has not lost, he might have learnt his lesson so that next time he doesn’t change a winning team to that margin.
