2023 AFCON Qualifiers: Ghanaian Duo Featured in the Team of the Week After First Round of Fixtures

A successful first round of fixtures in the Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers (AFCON) – saw 17 games come to the light except for Egypt – Guinea which was postponed due to snowfall, the [Team of the Week] for Round 1 have been selected courtesy of sofa score statistics.

The duo executed their roles perfectly without conceding.

A trio of centre-midfield-minded, Comoros star Youssouf M’Changama was partnered with GhanaianMohammed Kudus, and IvorianIbrahim Sangare. The trio showed good attacking qualities, scoring each from the midfield in their respective nations’ victories.

Sadio Mane, El Bilal Toure and Aboubakar Kamara – form the final third. Mane clocked a hat-trick against Benin, likewise Toure and Kamara – a brace each against Congo Republic and Sudan respectively.
