A heartless Kasoa armed robber has been butchered by his own cutlass this early afternoon. Robbers carrying guns and other weapons around in broad day time seems to be a normal thing now. Robbers are being chased down almost everyday because of the increment in robbery cases recently. At Odododiodio constituency, a robber was nabbed as well and after realizing that he stole because he was hungry just like most of the robbers we see, he was made to work, given a job and food.
But this is different in the case of this gentleman who was nabbed by the angry citizens of Kasoa today. Being a hot zone for criminals recently, Kasoa has earned its place on the map as one of the most armed robbery occupied places in the country. Ritualists and robbers are giving the people of kasoa the toughest times of their lives recently. According to Utv, the robber who can be seen in the photos attacked a helpless woman and raised his cutlass at her. He asked for her phone and money all that she had with her.
She immediately gave it all to on him and just when she was a few walks away from him, she shouted ‘thief’ ‘thief’ and was immediately seized by the abled men of kasoa. The young men cut his fingers with his own cutlass and wounded him badly. He was rushed to the kasoa polyclinic where he is receiving treatment before the police carry him away to mete out their own punishment to him according to the law. The conversations about this are whether the youth did well by meting out immediate punishment to him. Mob justice has always been discouraged. And even though the masses would want to instill some fear in robbers, it makes matters worse and breaks our justice system.
