Kwabena Owusu is a former Black Star player who plays for MKE Ankarakugu in the Turkish second tier of football. He made 23 appearances for his club, scored 10 goals, and provided 4 assists. The 24-year-old claims he is the best striker in the nation saying that the technical team failed to notice him. Source
“Of course it’s me, I will not say that the technical team of the Black Stars has not been fair to me but maybe they have not seen me yet.” He told Original FM in an interview. He added that not being added to the Black Stars squad for the AFCON 23 qualifiers only motivates him to do better.
“Every coach has his player. Maybe the performance I am putting up in recent times does not satisfy the technical team. So I think this is the time to put in more effort to reach the level the coaches need. Maybe I am not at the level they need so it is up to me to push harder to get there.”
He said even though it hurts to be left out, his omission is not because of an issue.
