The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. Akufo Dampare has boldly sent another strong message to the British High Commissioner to Ghana over issues with the arrest of Oliver Baker Vormawor.
The British High Commissioner, Harriet Thompson while reacting to the arrest of the FixTheCountry convenor revealed that she was surprised by the arrest of Oliver and will see how things will end.
Meanwhile, the Inspector General Of Police in a written statement told the British High Commissioner to ” ensure she lives and speaks on matters within her limits” translating into two, “Di wo fie asem”. The IGP then went on to explain certain things to the British High Commissioner.
” Since you may be unaware of the charges against the person of interest in your tweet, we are happy to give you some background. Among other things, in February this year, Mr. Baker-Vormawor threatened the security of the state by categorically stating his intention to stage a Coup d’etat and cause instability in the country if the Army which he referred to as ‘useless’, was unable to do so. These same threats have subsequently been repeated by Mr. Baker-Vormawor on his social media handles.” The IGP revealed this in a statement released.
