Desmond Kwaku Arhin who is the spokesperson for the group; “Aggrieved Concern Members” of the New Patriotic Party in the Twifo Atti-Morkwa constituency in the central region has disclosed to the media that, the group is not happy with the bias posturing of the central regional executives of the party with respect to how the region wants to interpret Article 3 Clause 5 Section 8b of the party’s constitution.
He explained further that, it is clearly enshrined in the party’s constitution that “Any member of the party who takes the party or a member of the party to court without fully exhausting the disciplanary structures in the party shall not be legible to contest for any position in the party”.
Desmond Kwaku Arhin lamented that, in spite of this obvious law, the regional executives want to allow one ‘Roger Oscar Tetteh’ to contest for constituency chairman in the Twifo Atti-Morkwa constituency who is known to have clearly violated the above law of the party when he took the party to court four years ago.
He however added that, currently, there is a high court injunction on the constituency elections in the area so the regional executives should come out with fair and better interpretation of the law before it is too late.
