Ghana is 65 years old. The nation had it’s independence on 6th March, 1957. Since the day the of independence till now, no president in Ghana’s history was ever born on Monday.
We have had president who are born in all the other six days in the week but unfortunately, non was born on Monday.
Dr. Kwame Nkrumah
Ghanaians First president was born on 21st September, 1909. This date clearly shows that he was born on Tuesday. Â
However it is alleged that his date of birth was adopted and for that matter he was born on Saturday. Even with that, he wasn’t born on Monday.
General Joseph Ankrah – He was born on 8th August, 1915(Wednesday)
General Akwasi Afrifa – 24th April, 1936(Wednesday)
Kofi Abrefa Busia
As the name suggests, Busia was born on Friday. His date of birth is 11th July, 1913.
Ignatius Kutu Acheampong – 23rd September, 1931( Wednesday)
Frederick William Akuffo – 21st March, 1937(Sunday)
Jerry John Rawlings – 22nd June, 1947(Sunday)
Hilla Limann – 12th December, 1934(Wednesday)
John Agyekum Kuffour – 8th December, 1938(Thursday)
John Evans Atta Mills– 21st July, 1944(Friday)
John Dramani Mahama – 29th November, 1958(Saturday)
Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo – 29th March, 1944(Wednesday)
For this reason, Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanteng and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia stand the chance of breaking this record. Both politicians were born on Monday. This is a 65-year old record.
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia was born on 7th October, 1963. This day clearly falls on Monday.
Alan Kyeremanteng was also born on 3rd October, 1955. This day also falls on Monday.
Both are likely to break the 65 year old record of non Monday born in Ghana’s presidential history. Both have presidential ambitions and if any of the two wins, this record would be broken.
