Things Women Think Men Like But They Actually Do Not Like

Below are certain things women think men like, but men actually do not like it:

1. When women put on too much make-up. Most of the time, a man could care less about all of the things a woman does to her face. A little light make-up is nice if they are going out, but all of the excess is actually a huge turnoff.

2. When women pretend to be clueless, helpless, or weak. That is not a turn on and most men know women are doing it from a manipulative standpoint. If a woman needs something, she should just ask a man for his help. If she wants to get close to him, she should just say that. Do not feign weakness, especially when, later she will hammer him for being so sexist as to think she is not capable of standing on her own two feet and doing for herself.

3. When women play hard to get. I am not saying that men never like this game, but it is highly overrated. Most men I know never did. There is a difference between playing hard to get and adding a little mystery to the chase. A woman who plays hard to get, sends mixed messages which confuses men. It is ok if you don’t act desperate or easy. That’s fine. Don’t answer the phone halfway through the first ring. Fine. But don’t ditch a man or completely give him the cold shoulder, then wonder why he doesn’t call or come around. Or why he’s pissed or has moved on.

4. When women anticipate needs. Men hate it when women assume that they want them to talk, act, and speak for them. Children don’t mind. Men do. This must be a maternal instinct that allows women to be great at determining what babies need. It backfires in their interactions with men. They may think it makes them intuitive but really it comes across as disrespectful.

5. When women ask “helpful” questions. Often women ask questions that are designed to let a man know that she is just being helpful. She may ask him if he needs help. A horrible one is, “Do you want me to ask my dad (or some other man) because last time you couldn’t do it. “Sometimes, that is ok. But if a man has let her know that he is fine and doesn’t need help, it is very inappropriate for her to keep asking questions like, “Are you sure?” Don’t ask a man if he is sure. He wouldn’t have said so, if he wasn’t. Don’t ask mind reading questions.

6. When women sharply define boundaries regarding your relationships with women, but are curiously vague about their own boundaries regarding men. It’s unnerving when a woman shows jealousy or insecurity about your female friends but chides you for being insecure when she is hanging out with her work husband or that guy she says is “just friends”. Men can’t stand that.
