The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, John Boadu, has told all aspirants for some executive positions in the New Patriotic Party to desist from going to court whenever they have any election-related issue. He explained that all party faithful must do this for the sake and love of the party. He revealed that instead of going to a court which is a long procedure, the dissatisfied party or candidate should go to the Appeals Committee of that constituency for his problem to be sorted out. He further argued that even if the person is not satisfied with the decision of the Appeals Committee, he or she can come to the National Party office for mediation.
This bold statement from the General Secretary was necessitated by how some youth in Achiase went to the court just because he was disqualified from contesting a post.
“If indeed what he said is true and he is a party faithful and true supporter, then he should know that the party and its headquarters have not run away. Thus, any problem must be resolved internally instead of sending it to court”, he explained.
