Lecturers in the lower cadre earn between GHC18,000 – GHC42,000 per annum.

Senior lecturers earn between GHC54,000 – GHC60,000 per annum.

Professors earn the most, and their salary is expected to be far above GHC96,000 per annum.

The difference Between Lecturer and Professor is that after doing a Ph.D., applicants can become assistant professors which is the starting rank in the teaching profession, but an assistant professor does not have tenure.

The average salary for an Assistant lecturer is 2,444.31 Ghana Cedi per month.
