Yes, NPP Has Lost Grounds But Will Regain Trust Of Ghanaians To Break The 8 – Nana Akomea

The former communications director of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Acomea, expressed confidence that the party will regain the trust of the Ghanaian people “to break eight by 2024”.

He said he was not surprised by the EIU report, which predicted the Democratic National Congress (NDC) opposition’s victory over the NPP in the 2024 general election.

Nana Acomea said the EIU report was “interesting but not surprising” and the NPP was well aware that it could lose if elections were held “under current circumstances”.

He said: “Everyone in this country, nuclear power plants, is aware that if elections were held now, nuclear power plants would not be the most popular party in the current situation. Fortunately, elections did not take place today. We have more of the remaining 2 years, which gives us more than enough time to overcome the current predicament and return to the good books of the majority of voters. Therefore, we are not concerned about such reports,” he added.

In a five-year forecast for Ghana, London-based economic and political analyst Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) has instructed the NDC to win the next general election.

However, according to the EIU, the NDC expects to bring in a new presidential candidate different from former President John Dramani Mahama.
