Former Member of Parliament George Loh and NPP General Secretary of Western Region , Charles Bissue clashed on TV3′ s key point morning show to share their thoughts on the elections predictions for 2024.
According to Charles Bissue, the current NPP government has done a lot to better the lives of Ghanaians and must be appreciated for the good work.
On the other hand, Former MP George Loh, emphasised that the performance of the John Mahama government can not be compared to the NPP Nana Addo government.
The Former MP said the NDC had always advised that the free education should be run progressively but the NPP ,even though they did it progressively by starting with the ”First year students”, the programme still has too many challenges. He further added that the children of most government officials are in very good private senior high schools . He advised that he has always emphasised that the free education should be managed such that only children from public Junior high schools should be admitted to free senior high school and not those from private schools who can afford to pay fees .
According to the former legislator, one thing that he would do if he becomes the President of Ghana is to insist that all government officials should keep their children in only public schools . He explained that, by so doing, the public officials would be more careful about policies that affect the public schools .
Both Charles Bissue and George Loh almost seemed to agree on other political issues . For example, the host asked if public officials should be paid to make them neutral. Both agreed that a cost of living allowance should be preferable to a neutrality allowance because any public official who want to do politics should resign because the constitution does not support the fact that public servants should do politics.
