President Kenyatta is determined to leave behind a legacy after his ten years reign under the Jubilee administration.However,he has been praised when it comes to infrastructure.The basic commodities such as the foodstuffs have been higher than when he took over the Government.
Today,the cost of living has gone higher.The prices of the basic commodities have sky rocketed forcing some families to forgo some meals in a day.This comes just after the Covid-19 pandemic leaving behind a bad legacy in the lives of many Kenyans too.Families lost jobs besides loosing the innocent family members.Some people have completely failed to regain back their lucrative jobs that they had before Covid-19 outbreak.
The Government is trying the much it can but Kenyans are still going through tough times.Recently,the costs of the cooking gas and fuel rose forcing Kenyans to look for alternatives.The cost of fuel has been steadily increasing thus affectng the cost of the cooking gas too.Some Kenyans have been forced to store their cooking gas cylinders in their houses for failing to afford refilling them.Luckily,the Government has given Ksh 47 Million to subsidy plan from Treasury for some cheaper gas.This is great news to those who depend on cooking gas in the country.Front page of the Daily Nation reports on this.
