The Member of Parliament for the North Tongu constituency, Hon Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has come up with another stir causing statement and according to him, Ghanaians are waiting to see how the government is going to transform the country as promised. He made reference to how the members of this NPP government came out to promise Ghanaians of massive development if the e-levy bill is passed.
Hon Okudzeto made this statement while speaking on the Good Morning Ghana show on metro tv earlier today. He boldly said that, the government has nothing to offer Ghanaians and the e-levy is only going to be used to make life better for government executives.
“I remember how some members of this current government came out to tell Ghanaians how they were going to transform the country if the e-levy bill was passed. Now we are waiting to see how this transformation is going to happen”, he said.
“We as minority are not in favor of the e-levy and we still do not accept it. It is only going to serve as a means of making life more luxurious for the president and his officials. For me, I think this government has nothing to offer Ghanaians regardless of whatever bill is passed”, he added.
