Former Prime Minister Raila Amollo Odinga has announced that Westlands Constituency parliamentary seat incumbent Honourable Tim Wanyonyi Will defend his seat.
Unlike the earlier announcement that Tim Wanyonyi would deputise Polycarp Igathe in Nairobi, it has emerged that Philip Karoki will deputise Nairobi County gubernatorial candidate.
On the other hand, Orange Democratic Movement ODM party Secretary General Edwin Sifuna will go for the Senate seat with Esther Passaris going for the Woman Representative seat.
“Gvn Candidate Nairobi is Polycarp Igathe and to be deputized by Prof. Philip Kaloki. Senate candidate is SG @edwinsifuna and Women Rep will be @EstherPassaris. Westlands MP @HonTimWanyonyi will defend his seat. Mr. Richard Ngatia steps down for state appointment” @RailaOdinga
This cones at a time when there was a meeting in State House where the Westlands MP was asked to give way for Polycarp Igathe to go for the Nairobi gubernatorial ticket.
This is a huge milestone for Nairobi where it has been confirmed that Richard Ngatia has stepped down from contesting for the top position.
