President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has commissioned a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant at Larkpleku in Ningo Prampram constituency. This is part of the efforts to boost the local manufacture of serum and vaccines.
This is also part of his 1D1F initiative. The president and the minister of Trade and Industries, Alan Kyeremanteng were all present at the occasion.
The president revealed that the factory underscores the kind of support given by government to the private sector to take advantage of economic opportunities in the country.
When the president was about to end his speech at the occasion, he looked at the member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram and made the statement below;
“Let me conclude by saying that I have taken the suggestion made by the member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram during his welcome remarks. I assure him that much sooner than later, he and the people of Ningo-Prampram will see the benefit of my presence here today” he said.
“Only the future will tell if this will help or hinder the political fortunes of the member of Parliament in this constituency” he said.
Immediately after making such statement, the president and most persons around him began laughing and looking at Sam George. Alan Cash and some of the guest laughed out loud to the comment made by the president.
