Kenya’s leading telecommunicaion Safaricom has announced two established numbers that it uses on a day to day basis while accomplishing its solemn mandate of providing service delivery to its customers.
Firstly, 0722 000 000; Safaricom has articulated that this is the official number it uses whenever in need of communicating with its customers. It has affirmed that this is the only number it calls customers from.
Secondly, 333; the mobile service provider has announced that this is the number customers should use whenever reporting suspicious phone numbers purporting to be from Safaricom. It cited sending the suspicious number via SMS on 333 as the established manouvre way to follow whenever reporting them.
“Received a call from a suspicious source? Our only official number is 07222 000 000 and it is the only number we will call you from. Report any suspicious numbers claiming to be from Safaricom by sending an SMS to 333,” Safaricom PLC stated.
