We’ve always known the EFF as a party that is always on the side of the people, but a few months ago, they shocked everyone when Julius Malema expressed an opinion that contradicts the majority of people’s views on illegal immigrants. In the past few months, South Africans have been calling for illegal firefighters who are in the country to be deported because they believe that foreigners are taking jobs that were supposed to be for South Africans. However, many people were shocked as the EFF leader, Julius Malema, argued that foreigners are our brothers and sisters, therefore they should be given free entry to the country and all borders must be opened.
As a result, many EFF supporters and lovers decided to leave the party, claiming that they could not support a party that refers to foreigners in the country as citizens.All over social media, EFF was grilled, and people threatened not to vote for it because they didn’t want borders to be opened.
Now, as the elections are nearing, political parties are recruiting people to join their parties. All over social media, they are posting their memberships to fill so that they can be recognised as part of the organisation. As the phrase goes, “no matter how long it takes, you’ll eventually pay your debts”. People are refusing to sign EFF membership forms because of that statement that Malema made saying borders should be open for foreigners. After an EFF membership form was posted, people did the unthinkable: they rejected it and wrote “send it to your beloved foreigners and leave us alone.” See the photo below:
After this photo was tweeted, many people supported it and said the EFF has been advocating for foreigners against local citizens, so they should also ask their foreigners to fill out membership forms. Some even went on to say this is just the beginning and more people are still going to ditch the EFF for advocating for foreigners (see comments below).
This is so true. South Africa has been suffering from the illegal acts committed by this foreigner and the EFF still wants foreigners to be given free entry. But they should also ask their foreigners to fill in these forms since they are fellow brothers. People should stop filling out these membership forms and voting for the EFF because they oppose what the people want.
