Last year, Natasha Thahane was dragged after she revealed that she received 1 million from the government which was arranged by Mbete for her to go study overseas. Mzansi dragged her for the special treatment she received while other students are suffering at higher institution without bursaries.
Well today Mzansi mentioned how the very same issue need to be dugged up and investigated. Following what is currently happening at Durban University and University of Free State, students have been kicked out of the University. Some due to registration issues because NSFAS has rejected them. Some donot qualify for accommodation because of age and not having bursary.
A few days back, University of Free State trended for not fairly treating students right. Therefore the issues that have been depressing students and causing students to commit suicide have awaken what the Mbete didn’t for Natasha.
Most are saying tax money it’s a lot, to let this issue slide while their children are struggling at the Universities with not interventionof the government.
“Sometimes I donot understand what you mean by bullying. Perhaps we donot have the same definition of it. She bullied us when she told us. We didnt ask her to tell us how much she received and from who. Now that we talk of it as we are concerned its bullying? We also want 1m.” Dinga said.
“The moment you have the strength to receive money from politician, business from government department where such businesses was not properly advertised. You better have the strength to answer to us CITIZENS, how such events happened.”, Lesetsa added.
