South Africa – At a time when the entire world is beginning to despise Russian President Vladimir Putin, with some even referring to him as the next Adolf Hitler, prominent South Africans such as Dudu Zuma Sambudla are expressing support for him.
This comes after she dropped a bombshell on her Twitter account, which read: “This Is The Man The World Deserves… President Putin!!! #IStandWithRussia” Only a few days into Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, little appears to be going according to plan. Russian forces, who have allegedly begun launching indiscriminate attacks on civilian targets, are continuing to close in on Kyiv, but the slow but steady progress has come at a high cost.
The escalating sanctions have caused the value of the ruble to plummet, prompting bank runs within Russia. The worsening economic fallout became so severe on Monday that Russia’s central bank more than doubled interest rates and the Moscow stock exchange was forced to close.
