As things stands, South Africa might be called by Russia if things gets worse in order to help them.
Russia has released a statement reminding South African leaders how and when their relationship has started. Today we mark 30 years of democracy in South Africa as Russians gave their hands in assisting to get rid of the apartheid government.
However, the statement has nothing to do with whatever is going on between Russia and Ukraine.
“Today marks 30 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and South Africa!
“Our interaction is distinguished by the strong bonds of friendship & cooperation established during the struggle against apartheid, which continue to develop today,” MF Russia posted
However, it’s not only 30 years but more than. The reason of mentioning the 30 years was because that’s where the relationship was stamped and a lot of engagements took place.
