Defense Minister, Thandi Modise, says most criminal syndicates in the country are not operated by SAns. She says government sometimes doesn’t have the courage to call out foreign nationals who engage in criminal activities, for fear of being labeled xenophobic.
Speaking at a media briefing of Ministers in the security cluster in Pretoria yesterday, Modise called on all foreign nationals to respect the laws of the country.
Mashaba who has long harbored anti-black foreign nationals chipped in the discussion by tweeting Mrs. Modise’s statement saying: We need a government that is never afraid, to tell the truth, even if it makes them unpopular. That is called leadership!
I invite all those who unleashed insults and name-calling against me to do the same to the Minister of Defense, Thandi Modise. I am glad I never allowed anyone to silence me for standing for the Sovereignty of South Africa. I daily feel vindicated
