President Cyril Ramaphosa who addressed ANC supporters in the Eastern Cape is touted as the suitable candidate for a second term at the party’s elective conference in December.
ANC heavyweight in the Eastern Cape, Babalo Madikizela said president Cyril Ramaphosa is going to get a second term as there is no one who is fit to get that post except him.
“President Cyril Ramaphosa will get a second chance. I don’t think there is anyone who is going to take that place. I don’t think there is anything we can change on his leadership.
He has led on the most challenging time in the history of South Africa. He is serving very well,” said Madikizela.
ANC Eastern Cape provincial Treasurer Babalo Madikizela was one of the comrades in attendance at the extended provincial meeting in Mthatha, OR Tambo region which was attended by party president Cyril Ramaphosa.
RET comrades however do not agree with Babalo Madikizela that there is no one fit to take the leadership position from Cyril Ramaphosa.
They said Madikizela is lying.

ANC Eastern Cape chairperson Oscar Mabuyane says he supports calls for ANC president Cyril Ramaphosa to get a second term as party president. He says the eagerly awaited ANC Eastern Cape provincial conference will be a success.
The Eastern Cape PEC meeting which was addressed by Cyril Ramaphosa was attended also by, NEC members Ronald Lamola, Aaron Motsoaledi and Senzo Mchunu.
Babalo Madikizela had his name being touted as a potential contestant for the chair position in the province. It’s believed Madikizela could challenge current chairperson Oscar Mabuyane in the upcoming provincial elective conference.
Mabuyane however says he is available to stand for the same position he holds if nominated by branches.
“I’ll be available to stand…when branches of the ANC say so,” he said.
He says the provincial elective conference is set for March.
