The crime rate in Tshwane is gradually skyrocketing despite the effort of our security operatives to make sure that criminals are inhibited from conducting any form of illegal activities within the city.
In a recent report, the drug unit of Tshwane Metropolitan Police successfully clamped down on a 27 year old Nigerian man who was transporting hard drugs.
The Nigerian was arrested while moving to Atteridgeville from Hartebeespoort with hard drug worth over R300,000. He is currently under police custody and is expected to be arraigned in court after investigation into the matter is concluded.
This is one out of many cases of drug related arrest conducted so far by police in Tshwane and the result is quite .
We hope that police will facilitate the arraignment of these crime suspect.
This was contained in a statement released by Tshwane Metropolitan Police on Twitter and it reads:
“Another Nigerian drug dealer removed from the Streets by Tshwane Metropolitan Police Department drug unit members. The 27 year old Nigerian man was arrested while on his way to Atteridgeville from Hartebeespoort. He was found with drugs estimated at R300,000.”
