A man who failed to understand why his wife was denying him his conjugal rights went the extra mile and bashed her to death.
It is reported that a woman from Gweru, Sheilla Chitakatira, met her fate after she was allegedly battered to death by her husband last Monday following an argument over sex.
Sheila told her husband that she was not not in the mood and he did not take it kindly. And he resorted to violence.
Her husband, Grant Chitakatira, who is a Zesa Holdings employee, is now under police investigation for the alleged murder.
It is alleged that at about 11pm, Grant got home and demanded his conjugal rights. But his wife refused.
He then took a blunt object and started assaulting her with it until she lost consciousness.
He accused her of cheating on her asking her to explain why else she would say not to him.
The deceased was hit with a blunt object on the forehead and it got swollen, blood oozing.
