There were 349 new cases that were recorded by Kwa-Zulu Natal , hence the province with the third highest number of new cases . The country of South Africa recorded a total of 2 111 new cases on Friday , and it took the total number of positive cases to 3 669 671 . There were three deaths that were recorded on Friday , taking the cumulative number of deaths to 99 145 . The postivity rate for South Africa stood at 8.4% as well .
