Just a few hours South Africa’s African National Congress, through the minister to Russia has ordered the Russian president Vladimir Putin, to withdraw his troops from Ukraine and the various unprovoked attacks on Ukraine and her people.
According to their words made public by News 24 on twitter;
“South Africa calls on Russia to immediately withdraw troops from Ukraine.”
Furthermore the South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa, took to his own twitter account to also share his plans of calling Vladimir Putin and the United States government to seek a for the end to this bloodshed. In his words;
“We’re on the way to speak Russia and we will also speak with the United States and NATO”
However this didn’t sit well with South Africans who trooped into the post to warn and beg Cyril Ramaphosa to respect himself and keep shut. To let the two nations settle their differences amicably.
A particular comment stood out, which outrightly begged the Russian president, Putin by replying the Russian embassy’s tweet telling Ramaphosa to stay out of it. The comment denounced Ramaphosa as a South African, asking that he be taken away. In Iferanja’s words;
“Good Evening, on behalf of South Africans, We really don’t know this Man. If you want him, please come get him only. there is another lady you can take as well Naledi.”
Moreso, African governments are supposed to be focusing on getting their citizens out of the country Ukraine as it has been heard that many speculate that blacks are denied from leaving Ukraine, especially men are sent back in order to join the fight. As Ukraine has ordered all Ukrainian men between the age 18-60 to stay back and take up arms to defend the country.
