A Twitter user expressed his dissatisfaction with his sister’s attitude after he performed a really kind and generous act for her.
He said that he sent his sister R890 for toiletry, which was his last money, and she didn’t respond to thank him, instead she complained that the money was too small.
He decided to reverse the Ewallet to teach her a lesson in gratitude, and kept quiet .
As a result, his sisters ran crying to her mother, complaining about what he had done.
One lady commented and said that her mother once reversed her ewallet, and from that day forward, she cherishes every little thing since people go to the extent of depriving themselves of necessities simply for us, and loved ones make genuine sacrifices for us.
Another Twitter user says that she once planned a birthday braai, but a friend canceled, and her uncle stated he couldn’t understand how she could throw parties but couldn’t financially support her friend and her child.
The vast majority of people supported his decision and believed it was a good idea to teach his sister gratitude.
I believe that others should recognize and be grateful for the good that you do for them.
Gratitude not only makes a person feel good about themselves for doing something nice, but it also inspires them to do it again in the future.
I find the sisters’ reaction to be very disappointing, as we all know that R890 is more than enough to buy basic toiletries. It is distasteful to take advantage of siblings solely on the basis of blood relation.
If she required funds for something else, she should have stated so.
May this serve as a lesson to his sister that if you don’t have anything, you should appreciate the little that you get.
Here are some reactions from Twitter.
