OPINION – Zuma had a R10million budget. As the president of the country, he had to excercise control and oversight on the ministers and the budget. Ministers don’t just spend willy nilly without passing things through to the president. Besides why did he not question the ultimate figures? Afterall it is his home that was built so he had to know everything, the costs. All previous presidents had homes and security beefed up and they knew what it would cost in advance. Why was Zuma made to pay? Because that fraudulent money benefited him, personally and unduly. It’s him, not us South Africans, who will live in that house, swim in that pool, have cattles and chickens in the kraal and chicken run.
