It’s been a few years since Covid 19 hit South Africa and scientists are still hard at work trying to get more answers regarding how we can completely stop it.
In the past, many of us have known entire households who caught Covid and had to isolate themselves over the pandemic, but there are also multiple anecdotes of couples, families and colleagues where some people caught the virus, but you will be surprised to learn that not everyone has caught the virus.
There are many reasons why some people have never caught covid and if you’re good looking, you probably have an extra reason.
A group of Scientists suggest that the more attractive you are, the stronger your immunity is and therefore, you’re at lower risk of catching Covid-19.
You must admit, this research challenges the saying that goes, “It is not all about looks”. –
To get to this conclusion, researchers conducting the experiment took photos and blood tests of 79 women and 80 men at Texas Christian University.
They then asked 492 other volunteers were asked to rate the facial attractiveness of the participants based on the photos that were submitted.
They then checked blood samples of tha participating. This study found that the most attractive participants had clear makers of better immunity in their blood samples.
In terms of viruses and virul infection, such as Covid, it appeared only the hottest men had built-in protection.
More attractive people also generally get better jobs, are better paid and other people are generally nicer to them. Psychologists call it the “beauty premium”. Essentially, the income gap between attractive and unattractive people is comparable to the gap between genders or ethnicities.
In other words, the beautiful have an advantage over the rest of the people on this planet.
