OPINION – Was this a blessing or a curse?

SOUTH AFRICA WAS THE LAST COUNTRY TO BE LIBERATED IN THE AFRICAN CONTINENT.

Was this a blessing or a curse?

Was is because SADF; SAP and its subsidiaries were too powerful?

Were snitching and sabotage (apartheid intelligence)so strong and ingrained in our communities they made it difficult to dismantle the apartheid machinery?

Did the Western powers had a hand in making the apartheid system sustainable for so long?

Did we really win/ achieve/ obtain freedom. Or was it given to us with strings attached and conditions intact?

Or we are perhaps just free not actually independent.

Answer – It was a blessing but we didn’t use it, I say it was a blessing because we had seen the mistakes of other African countries but we also followed the same route. Other international countries put pressure by criticizing the RSA racist government and threats of sanctions. So we were handed a democratic state and yes there were some strings attached which I’m sure the party won’t touch because they go with sanctions.
