Many Nigerians have begun to react as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) insists that the Director-General of the campaign organisation of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi is contesting in 2023 in another political party.
The new Director-General of the Peter Obi Presidential Campaign Organization, Akin Osuntokun took over from Dr Doyin Okupe after the latter was convicted and jailed with an option of fine for money laundering.
However, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said the Director-General of the Labour Party (LP) presidential campaign council, Akin Osuntokun, remains the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) senatorial candidate for Ekiti Central Senatorial Zone.
According to The Nation Newspaper, It is unclear if Professor Akin Osuntokun officially defected to Labour Party.
