The impeachment motion of Kawira Mwangaza has finally been put to rest today by the Senate. Kawira has been granted another chance to serve the people of Meru county as their governor for a period of five years.
The distinguished senator of Nairobi Edwin Sifuna has finally given his remarks after the report by the committee. He was keen to note that he lost alot of friends from Meru county who wanted to know the outcome of the committee from him. He highlighted that he refused to pick all the phone calls from his friends who reside in Meru.
Sifuna went ahead to note that the time given to the committee to come up with a decision was too small and the standing orders should be ammended to help come up with a conclusive report. He thanked the entire committee members for the dedication they gave to ensure that the matter was settled. Please leave your thoughts in our comments section below.
