Major Hamza Al-Mustapha (retd), the presidential candidate of Action Alliance has disclosed how he was almost killed while he was in prison.
While speaking during a programme on Brekete Family, Major Hamza disclosed that one faithful morning while he was in prison, an armed guard walked into his cell and unknown to him that he was sent to kill him, he struck up a conversation with the guard
He said he told the guard that he overheard him the previous day requesting permission to go and see his sick mother and the guard told him that his superiors refused to grant his permission. He said he then prayed for the guard’s mother to get well soon and the guard immediately dropped his gun and cried. Speaking further, Major Hamza said because he showed concern for the guard’s sick mother, the guard chose to be punished rather than kill him.
At about 1:43 minutes into a video shared on YouTube by Brekete Family, Major Hamza said “One boy officially came to me early in the morning sweating. I was praying, and there was a chain on my neck, my hands, and my legs; I was tied down. He walked in sweating and shivering and I was shocked that the door where I was kept was open. I was praying but I said to him and I quote ‘yesterday I overheard you when they were torturing us, you were seeking permission to go and see your sick mother’.
“He said yes and he dropped his gun. They refused him to go and see his sick mother and I didn’t know that he was given an assignment to shoot me, he thought I knew. So he was to kill me but he changed his mind. He cried and he said how come those he is working with don’t care about his mother because I prayed for his mother, I prayed for her speedy recovery meanwhile those working with him refuse to pray so he chose to be punished rather than to kill me. That is how I escaped and It is God Almighty’s design, not my making”
