The tree is trimmed, the champagne is chilled, and the calendar is ready to be moved to the trash.

2022 is coming to an end. It’s an opportunity to think about the year ahead, but it’s bad news for his two cars, which are due to finish at the end of the year or head to his uncle’s farm upstate sometime next year. Let’s take a look at the car heading for the chopping board.

1) The Ford GT

Ford’s latest supercar is complete. The GT was originally planned for just 250 units starting in 2016, but the demand justified Ford to expand production to over 1,000 units he had originally planned. But all good things come to an end, and GT is no exception. Ford unveiled a road-legal farewell model and a track-only variant with some significant changes to the GT. This V6 Scorcher of his has a solid pedigree of race-winning, starring at least one of his pro-wrestler-turned-actor dramas, and has a naming connection to Ford’s legendary GT40.

2) The Acura NSX

Like the Ford GT, Acura brought her beloved NSX nameplate back from the grave for her 2016 with a modern twist. Despite speculation of his NSX with a V10, the folks at Honda and Acura have unleashed a reborn NSX with a V6 hybrid powertrain. That decision ruffled some feathers, but the NSX still proved to be a fun sport machine that lived up to its nameplate legacy. Only five years later his NSX pauses the nameplate again at the end of this model year.

3) The Kia Stinger

The Kia Stinger is what every enthusiast wanted. A Rear wheel drive sports sedan. This adventurous four-door of his followed the classic formula of yesteryear, launched in 2017. Unfortunately, Kia’s Stinger was not a huge success and rumors accumulated about its impending end. Kia has officially announced that the Stinger will be discontinued after the model year 2023. The Korean automaker will launch a special tribute edition limited to 1000 of his cars worldwide.

4) The Dodge Charger & Challenger

Earlier this year, Dodge announced that it was phasing out the highly popular current-generation Charger and Challenger models. Like the Kia Stinger, these models will run until 2023, but with official letters on the walls. In 2008, Dodge Challenger brought back the iconic nameplate that had been dormant since 1983. Of course, we all know that this Challenger draws inspiration from the iconic e-body pony car, rather than recreating the 80s version. When the Challenger walks away, the folks at Dodge are sending it off in style with a special Last Call model. More importantly, who thinks the Challenger is gone for good?

5) The Honda Insight

That sedan’s platform mate, the current-generation Charger, came out in 2011 but departed at the same time as the Challenger. That might not be as exciting as Ford putting the GT on hold or Dodge saying goodbye to the Challenger, but the Honda Insight is dead. The car was launched over 20 years ago. However, the latest iteration came online in 2018. Despite its relatively short production run, the 4-door Insight has run its course. Unlike almost all the other products on this list, Insight isn’t very well known, so it’s the least likely to come back later. Honda simply replaces the Insight with a Civic Hybrid, and It was virtually claiming the Insight’s fame.
