Technical Director of the Ghana Cycling Federation, Shaaban Mohammed says he will be shocked if we are unable to host the Africa Games.
Ghana is seeking for a postponement of the festival to 2024 which was initially set for August next year in Accra.
However lack of logistics, poor infrastructure and financial issues looks like hampering the chances of Ghana hosting the competition in 2023.
Shaban Mohammed spoke on yesterday’s edition of the Gold Talk Sport with Adamu Muftawu.
Ghana bid to host the tournament in 2018 and promised to build a new 50,000 seater stadium in Borteyman but the edifice is yet to see the light of day.
Four years down the lane, Ghana has not been able to raise a block let alone start building the stadium.
But Shaaban Mohammed remains confident the festival would be able to happen if the right plans are put in place.
“It will be very shocking to me if Ghana cannot host it because we have given all the plans.” SHAABAN Mohammed said.
