Outgone Black Stars head coach, Otto Addo has said that it took a lot of hard work by the Ghana Football Association to get him to coach the Black Stars.
The ex-Ghana international qualified the Black Stars for the 2022 FIFA World Cup over a two legged tie against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Their 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign however did not end on a god note after the Black Stars exited the tournament at the group stage with just three points from three group stage games.
Otto Addo made the comments after the Black Stars 2-0 loss against Uruguay in the third and final group game of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
“Even to come here, it was difficult and the GFA put in a lot of effort to release me and at the end they came back themselves to Dortmund to speak to the board.
“And at the end they decided to release me for this task.” Otto Addo said.
