1. Wise people think before they speak, and watch their steps each time before they act. They understand how mistakes can be costly, and so they prefer to allow other people take the first steps so they can learn from them.
2. A wise person knows when to speak and when to shut up, when to hide and when to show up.
3. A wise person doesn’t blow the whistle when he/she performs a good deed. The good deeds speak for themselves.
4. A wise person hides his/her claws like a clever eagle, and only reveals them when it’s absolutely necessary.
5. A wise person understands that failure is just another opportunity to learn something new—not a drawback or a fall.
6. A wise person knows his/her self-worth, and is not concerned about the achievements of others, even if those other people seem to achieve better or faster results.
7. A wise person is not necessarily an academic geek or a bookworm, but a person who knows where to get relevant information at the right time when they need it.
8. Wise people know when college education becomes a waste of time, and a hindrance to success; when to get out and pursue their dreams instead of the dreams of others, and when to pursue self-education.
9. A wise person doesn’t brag or exult him/herself, but instead lets his/her creativity do all the talking.
10. A wise person doesn’t drive flashy cars, show off, or flash wands of cash for people to see. He or she hides her money in a secure place where no thieves, crooks, crooked lawyers, insurance agents or nosy tax collectors can’t find it.
11. A wise person does not strive to become a millionaire, but works hard to become financially free him/herself from ever having to work in 9-to-5 job where you only help the boss get richer.
12. A wise person is not necessarily an A-student, but an ordinary student who can do extraordinary things with their brains instead of pursuing academic excellence.
13. Wise people do not bother taking a ton of worthless notes in class, but listen with an almost dead silence when the teacher is talking, only to grasp the important points, so that they can make a follow-up outside the class and take their own notes.
14. Wise people are extremely self-aware, and very keen to understand their surroundings. They know their strengths and weaknesses, and keep improving so that they can transform their weaknesses to strengths.
15. Wise people do not strive to become heroes. They don’t take unnecessary risk, and even when they take risks, they do their thorough homework to reduce the probability of risk.
16. Wise people create one complex password they can memorize, then create different variations of the same password for various logins, making it easy to remember, but extremely difficult for hackers to crack.
