Ronaldo | Biography & Facts | Britannica”/>
Cristiano Ronaldo has been the face of several newspapers this week after the 5 time Balon D’or winner granted an interview to speak about his life in Manchester United.
The forward in the interview disclosed that he was currently unhappy at the club and that he was shocked about how the club has been handled in the past since Sir Alex Ferguson’s departure.
Ronaldo is currently with his national team training for the World Cup in Qatar this month. Several journalists have sighted footage of him and Bruno Fernandes having a rift in their relationship.
However, Portuguese teammate, Joao Mario has come out to rubbish such talks.
According to Mario, Ronaldo is always happy with the Portugal national team. He said “Everyone always speaks about Cristiano, so it’s fine for us. He’s always happy when he is in the national team – I saw him yesterday and he was quite fine as always. As he has said before, for him it is always a pleasure to be here. I do not believe that the interview adds more pressure on him or anyone else.”
Portugal will face Ghana in their first group game of the tournament and the lights will be on Ronaldo as he makes his first football feature after that interview.
