My Open Letter to Back Stars, GFA Ahead of their Group Stages

The Black Stars have qualified for the world cup 2022 games after a previous absence from the 2018 Tournament. 

The coach, Mr. Otto Addo has taken his final decision to shortlist players, though it pushed emotions to react, his decision was based on his own research to get the best out of the team, two regular goal keepers left the squad over what I believe is the fear of negative comments from Ghanaians, that lifestyle of bashing and ridiculing players over every single mistake even in social media has gone a long way to restrict several players from trying new things.

Let’s reduce the negative comments on radio, social media and contact the GFA with reliable suggestions.

To add to that, I’ll Urge coach Otto Addo not to undermine the power of penalties and reliable goalkeeping in that regard, we won’t be getting too many opportunities and as a result penalties can cripple us, let the boys work on such areas please.

Furthermore, corner kicks, free kick define a great team, let’s make an impact with them, the last time we scored from a corner kicks was through the intervention if Daniel Kofi Kyere when Ghana Played Again Comoros during the Afcon 2022.

An improvement in that tangent will go a long way to help the stars.

Also, I’ll Urge the Captain to be a bit mild on the players with his words, I witness a video where he was shouting at some players during the qualifications,he even suggested some can go home if the feel they can’t. Such words do not create an impact in team spirit, he is a very Industrious Captain and I admire him but I think he should try to earn respect and not Command it, the difference between the two is that commanding it makes it temporary but earning it makes it last for a lifetime, once you earn respect people work openly with their own ideas to achieve success but once you Command it, they work with your order even when they know it will fail the team. 

Last but not the least, I had a dream and I saw some Ghanaian players acting too gentle and respectful towards other players they want to play against, that doesn’t win games, in football your ego should be high but within your heart, don’t act as if this is a Senior player so let me be mild or instances where you come across Suarez or Ronaldo and Begin rushing to take pictures, you can take those pictures after the game, once you act that way, that gives the person a moral urge over you since you will feel that Senior player granted you a favor, I will Influence your actions in the field.
